 | Dance Dimensions, the longest operating dance studio in Bolingbrook, is
celebrating its 17th year under the artistic direction of Kim Marie Peterson. Two large studio rooms with suspended floors allow students to enjoy our wide variety of classes including jazz,
hip-hop, tap, ballet, tumbling and creative movement. Small class sizes allow our teachers to focus on individual talent and bring out the best in each student. For a more personalized dance experience,
private lessons are also available.
Our goal is to train our students to be the best dancers that they can be, but also prepare them for our spectacular annual recital. Every June our students put their skills to the
test, showing family and friends what they have learned. It serves as a benchmark in gauging how far each student has progressed and is always a wonderful celebration.
Dance Dimensions is also home to the Kinetic Dance Company — a not-for-profit
organization with funds provided by members of the community who wish to support aspiring young artists. It is an
opportunity to grow as dancers in a positive, well-rounded environment through master classes, conventions, performances, bi-annual concerts and competitions. The Kinetic Dance Company performs at public events such as Bolingbrook's Village Picnic, football games, and children's fairs. They also visit nursing homes in the local area on a regular basis.

Kim Marie Peterson has been studying dance for over 30 years and teaching for over 18 years. She received a Bachelor of Fine
Arts in Dance Performance and Education from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She continues to enhance her dance abilities through master classes, conventions and workshops.
Dancing since she was 3 years old, Kim Marie has a passion for dance as an expression of life and she strives to pass on her love of dance to her students of all ages. Although Kim enjoys teaching all ages, she spent a significant amount of her free time working with high school students and has choreographed high school musicals and local theater group musicals from 1992-2003.
In addition to her work at the studio, Kim Marie is also committed to her community. She was a winner in the Bolingbrook/DuPage Township Junior Miss Scholarship Program in 1989 and has been actively involved ever since. She has volunteered her time as program chairwoman, producer, director and choreographer for the past 11 years. Junior Miss has given out over $120,000 in scholarship money during that time.
Kim Marie was recognized as the “Outstanding Young Woman of the Year” by the Bolingbrook Jaycees in 1998. She was also featured on Channel 7's “Someone You Should Know” segment for her service and dedication to her community.
In the last 2 years, Kim Marie has gotten the studio involved in fundraising for the American Cancer Society and has taken a leadership role in the annual “Relay for Life” held in Bolingbrook each May. She led efforts this year which raised over $17,000 from our studio and over $100,000 from the community for this worthy cause.
In 2005, Kim Marie's family was chosen as the “Family of the Year” by the Village of Bolingbrook. The Jascewsky family has lived in Bolingbrook for over 33 years and has spent many hours dedicating themselves to building a better Bolingbrook.
Most importantly — Kim Marie is the mother of Cole and Mia, ages 4 and 2 and wife to George, a detective.
